‘Philipp Gasser is based in Switzerland. His admiration for Photography and intense desire to discover Asia bring him to Bangladesh to attend the ‘One on One exclusive photography program with GMB Akash’. After completing the in-depth Photography Workshop with me, he produces outstanding images that built a portfolio worth sharing. He closely looks at his subjects and made everlasting bonding which helped him to get very realistic images. His enthusiasm and passion for photography hardly tire him to try something new or experiment with his pictures. He is a very keen learner and open to take challenges which make this workshop fun for me as mentor.  We exchanged ideas and works from early morning to late evening pointing out different aspects of his interest either in photography or exploring the city.  His ability to get closer to people enabled him to get some excellent shots. He captures light and colour brilliantly into artistic compositions and produces some detail work that is incredible. Philipp amaze me as a photographer and he is a very generous person, I wish him success and happiness in his career and life’ – GMB Akash

One on one Workshop review by Philipp Gasser:

Video Interview of Philipp Gasser:

‘It’s a wonderful opportunity for me to join this One on One workshop, because Akash is a wonderful person and a great artist. He knows how to take incredible pictures and I could imagine no one else than him as my Mentor. For me it’s a great chance to improve my personal skill for photography. Akash took me to some exciting places which is rich in photography subjects. We visited unique places, unique people, and unique situations. Every day we start at early morning and continue till late evening. Akash checked every single image I took during the shoot, rated them and gave me valuable inputs. Akash is a great teacher. Bangladesh is different and its people are amazing, it’s a huge experience for me. I took one thousand pictures every day. And every day I improved. I see the improvement in all my pictures. This workshop is time worth, experience worth, it’s an unforgettable experience for me to joining Akash on this daily adventure through the villages, through the different places. In six days, I took more than ten thousands images. I will leave this country with a big smile’ – Philipp Gasser

6 Day One-on-One Workshop with GMB Akash:

The focus of this customized program is to not only teach photography but to give students a chance to fully experience a career that is often misunderstood. While media and films have glamorized the lives of photographers, the reality is that this is one of the world’s most demanding and difficult jobs, both physically and mentally. We have designed GMB Akash’s workshops to give young photographers an opportunity to experience the true nature of international photojournalism, street photography and documentary photography. No other workshop or seminar gives students the ability to work one on one with a professional photojournalist in a real world environment. Each student will have exclusive access to GMB Akash through the duration of the workshop, giving them the opportunity to take advantage of his work experience, teachings, and methodologies. Due to the intimate nature of these workshops and the real world working environment, each student can expect to learn and experience much more than they would during one year in a standard university photography program. Each workshop is six days long and set in locations that are rich in culture with a wealth of photographic and documentary subject matter.
